Borris Powell is one of the biggest names in Chicago fashion.

Powell moved to Chicago to start his design career in 1997, and in the past decade has built himself a devoted following in luxury women's clothing. He is the Founder of Borris Powell Designs.

He won the prestigious Oscars Designer Challenge in 2011 with his Black Swan-inspired evening gown and has received numerous accolades in the local and national press.

His fall-winter 2014 collection, "FREEDOM," debuted on March 14, 2014, at Block Thirty Seven.

The collection features daytime and evening wear with an assortment of bags for men and women, as well as a new line of accessories -- including his first ever men's wallet and his first ever lipstick in his signature Red Color.

Powell's (appointment-only) showroom and retail space is located at 400 N. May St., Suite 201.

The designer's fall-winter 2013 collection was featured (and lauded) in the "Chicago Manual of Style" column of the April 23, 2013, issue of the Chicago Maroon
